Your safety is important to us, and as your landlord, it’s our responsibility to ensure that your homes are safe to live in. That’s why your safety and wellbeing are at the forefront of every decision we make, every repair we complete and every policy we put in place.
We’re proud to be supporting the National Social Housing Safety & Compliance Week 20247 from Monday, 18 November to Friday, 22 November.
Continuing with the ‘Together for Safety’ theme for another year, the week reminds us to tackle challenges, raise standards and keep everyone safe by working closely with you, each other at Eastlight, and with our contractors and suppliers.
How we’re keeping you safe in your home:
We’re committed to maintaining our homes to the highest standard because we know that doing our job well directly impacts your quality of life.
Since April 2024, we’ve completed:
- 6,553 gas safety checks
- 1,510 electrical safety checks
- 186 fire risk assessment inspections
- 917 risk assessment actions such as repairing fire doors, clearing fire escape routes in communal areas, works for preventing the spread of fire and repairs to fire safety equipment
- 421 fire equipment inspections
- 385 lift services
Plus, our contractors have attended:
- 4,305 gas related jobs
- 1,103 Asbestos related jobs, including surveys and removals
