Join us at Essex Pride!
Eastlight is delighted to be marching side-by-side with residents as the lead sponsor of this year’s Essex Pride, due to take place in Chelmsford on Saturday, 22 June.
Marking Essex Pride’s 20th anniversary, the event will celebrate LGBT+ equality across the county and positively protest for the rights of all residents and communities to be their authentic selves.
Eastlight joins Chelmsford-based housing association CHP in its sponsorship, under the umbrella of BuildEast – a group of 15 housing associations across the East of England, working together to provide homes that are fit for the future.
Eastlight and CHP will lead the march via an accessible route from Springfield Road and throughout Chelmsford City Centre, before we conclude in Central Park at the LGBT+ Festival.
At which, we will be:
- Hosting an interactive stall, with games and activities for everyone to get involved in;
- Providing residents access to a range of housing support, answering any burning questions; and
- Sharing how you can shape the future of Eastlight’s homes, and homes across East of England.
Eastlight’s Chief Executive Emma Palmer, and the new Chair of BuildEast, said:

The Essex Pride City Centre March will return, alongside the Pride festival in Central Park, Chelmsford, which promises to be the most diverse pride celebrations yet.”
