Wellbeing initiative to launch in Braintree
A NEW scheme to support Braintree residents with their mental wellbeing will be launched at an event next week.
The All In Community Team for Braintree, created by housing association Eastlight Community Homes, have spent the last seven months building one bold idea to support residents in the town.
This month, the team will launch Kinder Minds, a community-led programme that will create a safe space for residents to make friends, build a community and gain new skills to help manage their wellbeing.
The event, held on Wednesday 18 January at Bocking Arts Centre between 5-7pm, will introduce the community to an initial pilot of Kinder Minds, which will involve creative and social activities three times a week including guided meditation and coffee mornings.
Gemma Griffin, of All In’s Braintree Community Team said: “Time and again, Braintree residents have told us that they are in need for things to do in the town that can help to manage their wellbeing.
“Kinder Minds will provide the space for residents to interact with like-minded people while learning ways in which to manage their mental wellbeing.
“We really want to make a difference in the community and would love to see a variety of faces at the event this month.”
The drop-in session is free and open to everyone to attend. To get updates on future Kinder Minds events, please email braintree@weareallin.co.uk
