Eastlight’s Development Team shortlisted for top industry award
Eastlight Community Homes’ Development Team has been recognised by the Inside Housing Development Awards.
Nominated by Eastlight, the 27-strong service have been shortlisted for the ‘Best Development Team’ category.
In the past 12 months, the team has exceeded their highest new homes targets with 324 new homes, for a mix of tenures including social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership – with major development projects at the Longacre, Manor Street and Mount Hill estates, as well as our most recently secured Bovingdon Road site.
An internal restructure last year perfectly exemplified the team’s resilience during significant transformation and their ability to strengthen relationships with external stakeholders to maximise affordable housing potential across the East of England, securing almost £4 million in grant funding from Homes England.
In line with our Sustainability and New Homes strategies, the team have also launched their aspirational ‘Design Guide’ which promotes good-quality design work across our new homes programmes and serves as a reference point for clients, consultants and contractors.
Our Development team stand out from the crowd in the way they continue to harness a culture of collaboration, shared learning and continuous improvement, setting an example across the business and wider sector for their passion and determination.
