Eastlight retains highest rating from the Regulator
We are delighted to share that Eastlight Community Homes has today retained its G1 V1 status, following an annual stability check undertaken by the Regulator of Social Housing.
G1 V1 is the highest rating a housing association can achieve. It means that the Regulator is fully assured of our activity, and the grading demonstrates our robust compliance with the Governance and Financial Viability Standard of the Regulatory Standards.

As the biggest resident-led housing association, Eastlight strives to create safe, affordable homes and great neighbourhoods that people across the East of England are proud to live in.
Since our last rating from the Regulator in 2022, Eastlight has supported the launch of four social businesses and services now tackling big social issues affecting our local communities; increased spending on improving the quality of our existing housing stock; and delivered 1,000 new affordable and sustainable homes since our merger in July 2020.
Eastlight’s Chief Executive, Emma Palmer, said: “Despite the significant economic challenges of the past year, it’s pleasing to see the continued hard and dedicated work of our people being duly recognised in this way.
“The news comes just three years since Eastlight was formed and at a pivotal moment for the organisation, as we look ahead into the future and refresh our corporate strategy. We strive to remain resilient to external pressure and continue to improve the homes, services and overall experience that residents receive from us.”
Eastlight Chair, Hattie Llewelyn-Davies, said: “Long-term stability is key for our strategic plans. This achievement validates our forward direction, with resident experience and engagement right at its heart.”
