Colchester residents invited to community check-in event
EASTLIGHT residents can get financial advice and support to tackle a range of issues at a community event in Greenstead.
Residents are invited to meet Eastlight staff at Greenstead Community Centre in Hawthorn Avenue on Thursday 19 January.
There they can enjoy a drink and a snack and talk about issues ranging from financial support during the cost-of-living crisis to anti-social behaviour.
Residents who want to make a difference in their community can also meet our All In team and find out how they can create and support local initiatives, including a new programme to support residents struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.
During the day, Eastlight’s Home Solutions teams and grounds maintenance contractors will also be carrying out a range of repairs and improvements in and around homes in Greenstead.
The event has been arranged after a successful Community Clean-Up last October, where residents in the Saw Mill estate collaborated with our staff and contractors to spruce up the area.
Valerie David, Eastlight’s Head of Housing Management, said: “We’ve arranged this event so that Eastlight residents can come along and get advice on any housing issue they’re facing, from the cost-of-living to reports of anti-social behaviour.
“We also really want to hear residents’ views about how we can improve the homes and services we provide. Please come along for a cuppa and a chat – we look forward to seeing you.”
The event runs from 9.30am – 2pm. For more information, please contact valerie.david@eastlighthomes.co.uk or 0330 128 0330 (local rate).
