Applications open for All In community grants
RESIDENTS to help award funding to local organisations making a difference in the community.
The All In Alliance groups, formed by Eastlight Community Homes, have been working alongside residents to make our towns and cities a better place for all since their formation last year.
Now, the Alliances are encouraging local community-based organisations to apply for their community grants, which could see them receiving up to £1,500 to support their work.
The funding will enable a variety of groups across the districts to continue their hard graft in our communities, whilst providing new opportunities for residents to get involved with local projects.
With a total of £12,000 available, the grants will be equally divided across Braintree, Witham, Halstead and Colchester. Each town or city will receive £3,000, with the funding being broken down to one award of £1,500 and two awards of £750.
Applications are open to all local community organisations who would like to use the grants to start new projects or with ongoing needs that would benefit from some extra funds.
The application deadline is Monday 6th March.
Once the organisations have been shortlisted, residents will be able to vote for who they believe the funding should go to at the Alliance Meetings throughout March.
Lauren Brimson, Eastlight’s Community Engagement Officer, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for local community projects to continue their incredible work in our towns and cities. The community grant applications are open to all projects making a difference in their communities and we encourage those who continue to give back to local people to apply.”
